Welcome to Elevated Horizons. Here, you will find easy techniques to apply to your life to discover clarity peace in achievements.
Now that we have discovered a way to declutter, I would like to discuss emotional intelligence. Managing and understanding your emotions can disclose where anything holding you back from your purpose stems. The most important thing with growth and discovery is it works best when you are aware of yourself. A lot of times, we are pre-conditioned to believe something that may impact our true potential. Conditioning can have you thinking less of yourself, opinions, beliefs, etc. Still, when you know your true inner feelings and distinguish if something impacts your life, it is easier to subside those limiting beliefs. As you move along in life, you have the opportunity of choosing the direction you want your day to go. It's all based on the selective mindset—you choosing to remain positive instead of dwelling on the negative.
The best way to gain a better vision of self is not to dwell on the current state of your life but to improve your current state of mind and how you perceive your everyday experiences. Try to find the lesson in every situation. Allow yourself to see the synchronicities and moments that impact you and use them to take you in the direction of your purpose. Sometimes, it can be a bit hard to discover what your purpose is. The best way to find your purpose is to uncover what you are passionate about. Sometimes that could mean resurfacing some pastime experiences that created happiness. For example, throughout my journey to rediscovery and transformation, I found it easier to tap into things I used to like to do as a child, like coloring, outdoor activities, imaginary games like school, house, and doctor. Those could now be reflected in my present life as an evolved desire for acrylic painting, exercise, teaching, helping others, or having a family. But of all those interests that I became passionate about, my passion for helping others resonated deeply with my purpose.
When you make the right decisions towards what you feel is your purpose. It’s so amazing how the universe works with you and how the synchronicities of the world entertain in your visions. It's incredible to be able to see clear into what you envision your life to be. When your mind, body, and soul are in sync with each other, you can quickly notice synchronicity and take heed to what direction you are supposed to be headed. It starts with your mindset. The way you perceive your life and the way you reflect on any experiences that happened in your life determine the outcome of how you view the life you live today.
You want to keep in mind that your body is your temple. If your body doesn't feel right, your mind reflects that, and if your mind doesn't feel right, the way that your energy is perceived to the world may come off a bit altered. Have you ever heard the saying, “you are what you eat?” It is true. Your body performs to excavate harmony within. Let’s take a moment to reflect.
I remember when I felt very sluggish and had trouble doing basic things like breathing and getting up when I had poor eating habits. Although I wasn’t overweight, I was eating very poorly. I realized that if I just cleaned and adjusted my patterns, I would not only be able to breathe better, but I eventually could get up without becoming tiresome, gained more energy, and started to get a clearer picture of the life I live. Everything began looking brighter, more beautiful. I no longer needed a fan to breathe. I became more active, started to receive the synchronicities and stepped into my purpose by discovering the passion I have for helping people and the chance to be accountable for someone else accountability.
You can discover where your passion lies and step into your purpose as well. It may not happen overnight, but your progression should be recognized and used as fuel to drive you towards your purpose. You must treat your mind, body, and soul with care, and you will be able to attract what you choose to manifest. Hey, it's a continuous process of maintaining a positive lifestyle. Ensuring that you are Balanced mentally and physically will allow you to be more in tune with your inner self.
One method that works well for balancing and understanding the state your mind, body, and soul is in is to perform a Body Scan, which is a mindful-based exercise. When you practice body scanning, you systematically and intentionally move throughout your body, subsisting mindful of even the slightest sensations and tuning in to yourself. You become conscious of everything that is occurring within your mind; your body, in turn, will have you observing how it's providing soulful enlightenment. A body scan opens up your temple and lets your consciousness cleanse you, allowing Self to recognize what needs attention. You may feel tingling, numbing, cool/warm, sinking, vibrations, pulsations, etc. You will also experience emotional floods, such as fear, sadness, joy, impatience, pride, release, etc. You may even recognize thoughts that may occur. It’s ok. Let the thought appear, acknowledge it and let it pass. Practicing mindfulness helps you rediscover things about yourself that may have been repressed or rejected by influences in your life and gives you a chance to dig deeper into your true beliefs, traditions, and enjoyments in your life.
How to- Body Scan Meditation
1. Get comfortable. You can sit down or lay down. It’s based on preference. Just don’t fall asleep.
2. Focus on the way your body feels. Take a few breaths, and let’s began scanning.
3. Start at your toes. Recognize the coolness of the air flowing through your toes. Pay attention to the feelings in that part of the body. Start to slowly move up the body from your toes, embracing every feeling, emotion, and sensation flowing throughout your temple.
4. Your mind may begin to travel; it’s alright. As I said earlier, recognize it, acknowledge it and move on.
5. Encompass your body. Take heed to the impressions of your body scan. I recommend getting a journal because it helps to write down your experiences.
Things you would want to write down:
• What did you feel and where?
• What came up mentally
• Did you get any sensations when particular thoughts arose?
You have a passion within you that you can feel at the bottom of your soul. It just feels as though it may be a bit hard to decipher precisely what that is. When you can bring yourself to a calming center, you can then flow through yourself to discover your more profound interest and genuine beliefs.
So, repeat after me:
I am alive.
I am enlightened.
I am a visionary.
I am a survivor.
I am worthy.
I am resilient.
